Welcome to the New Year! This "Year in Review" is a little late - working an extra weekend means less time for web site stuff! I'm looking forward to getting back to a normal routine after the holidays have passed. I hope you all had a great Christmas/New Years with lots of fishing presents under the tree!
Our site continued it's yearly growth in 2004. Visits grew from 604,500 to 712,223. Our busiest month was July when the site was visited an incredible 85,769 times! And as the site grows in popularity new opportunities open up. We had several contests and added new sponsors who contributed prizes for the monthly Report Contests. Congrats to those who won prizes this year. I'm always looking for stuff to give away to the readers and hope to do even more in 2005.
We added Featured Writers John Kruse and Uncle Wes this year. Both are excellent writers and experts in different areas of fishing Washington. I think you'll really enjoy the information they will be providing in 2005. Of course, Dave Graybill, AKA "Fishin Magician", will continue to send us his in depth articles as well. We also have a new writer soon to come on board - I'll leave off the details so you can be surprised. Thanks to our Featured Writers for their great support of this site.
And speaking of support for this site, I can't forget to thank you the readers! 2004 saw an increase in reports and pictures submitted, as well as several in depth reports on various aspects of fishing in our state. It is you the readers that keeps this site vibrant and fresh. Thank you all and keep those reports coming!
As always, I can't possibly thank everyone individually - there are too many of you out there! So here's a collective THANK YOU!
Finally, I'm going to tease everyone with a "stay tuned" announcement. All I'll say is something very special is coming your way on this site. So be sure to keep logging in and I'll keep posting this state's most in-depth lake reports web site I know of.
Thank you all for being a part of WashingtonLakes.com!
Mike
