Anyone know if Fish Lake is thawed out yet? How about the FS road on the NE end of the lake, is that open? I was thinking of taking a fishing/camping trip over that way soon.

I think your FS road may be gated off now from the fence around the ex-resort.

Yes, the road is gated now, but you can still access the road from the NE end of the lake. That gate is a real sore spot with me. One of the reasons stated for closing it was the enviromental concerns brought up by the resort owner. Now they are selling off the resort in lots and how much pollution will that cause to the lake!.....Certainly far more than people camping 2-3 months of the year.

I caught my first fish ever on that lake. Maybe I'll have to make a trip out there this spring..

Don't know which resort is closed but I do know that the Cove Resort is open.

I was over near Leavenworth this week and stopped by Fish Lk on the way home yesterday. Lake is open and fishable. I drove around to the FS road on the north side of the lake and there are a few snow patches, but they will be gone in a few days. Road is muddy and soft in spots, but not a problem getting around or through in a car.
