Just wondering if anyone has noticed if the perch have moved up to shallower water yet to spawn in any of the area lakes?

They are thick in the boat launch area at the south end of Banks lake. Expect to toss back 20 or 30 for every one large enough to keep. No monsters but the largest ones were over 9 inches. Use a large hook to keep from gut hooking them. I had some #4 owner steelhead hooks that worked great for easy releases. We used a boat to get away from the folks on the docks.

It was 10 - 12 ' deep with weeds on the bottom. We used a slidding bobber with two hooks and fished a couple of feet off the bottom. set the hook count to 15 set the hook again and reel in doubles. We had a boat so we tried to look around a bit for some sim spots but no luck

Thanks I will be hitting the Potholes the first part of next month and try to find some in the mouths of the creeks. It's been the best for me the past few years and then perch have been on the side of bohemith. American lake is my normal area in the spring but they have only just started to move into the 15 -20 ft range.

Hello! I have yet to fish for perch but I found out a lake close to home has some. What baits (live included) would you recommend?

Thanks!
