Hello Everyone,

The updated site is now live and on a computer near you. Take some time and check it out. Some of the highlights:

* Fully Searchable database. All reports can be search so if you have a distinct name you can pull up old reports on one search. If you've been posting under a common name you should consider using your last name or finding a unique name. You'll be glad you did when your doing a search five years from now!

* One click reports - you can read a current front page report with one click, then check all reports for that specific lake. Still available is the hyperlinked map and the lake/saltwater Index.

* Top Rated Lakes - you can rate your fishing trip. It will then go into the database and be tabulated. Top 12 lakes go on the list. Move your mouse over the boxes to get the exact rating. All lakes have a basic 1-5 rating in the Lake Index and County pages.

* Picture Corner - your picture can now go into front page rotation!

*Articles and Stories - all old articles/stories are archived and can be searched for as well.

* Writers Corner - need I say more?

I hope you enjoy and PLEASE send us BUG reports for any problems you run into. Use the Bug Report form in the upper left hand corner of the site. We also welcome comments, good or bad. Give Aaron a big thank you while you're at it. You can't imagine how many hours of work it took us. Let's just say we've been at it since last fall. Also, I still have about 3,000 old reports left to transfer so if you can't find an old favorite report it is probably waiting on my computer.

Have fun!

TT,

What did you click on to get that error? The site had to be re-built from the ground up and there are bound to be errors and missing links. Any specific assistance you can give would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Great job with the new site! By way of a bug report, I get blank screens when I search for "Chelan" both for articles and freshwater reports.

Great job Mike. I logged on and it was like....."wow what happened" I like the return of one click linkable reports. I was upset that the state map went away, but found it down the page. How did you come up with the top rated lakes? I see the Conconully liar reports put it on top. The only problem I have with the ratings is that it will only promote more bogus reports. I know I can ignore them, but I actually do like to look at ligit reports to get an idea how lakes are fishing.

You still have to input the fishing reports? I added one on Fish Lake earlier and see it hasn't been added yet. All this new fancy stuff you should be out fishing and not messing with your website....... smile

Great job on the new site, it looks great and is alot easier to navigate. On a few of the headings where it shows the most recent post for a lake seem to be incorrect for some lakes, just thought I would give you a heads up. Great Job!!!!

TT,
worked for me. One thing I have noticed is that the Firefox browser is causing some general problems.

Kent,
Top rated lakes - always the potential for abuse. But I think things do tend to balance out. I remember the concern used to be the other way - that guys would give bogus bad reports! Bottom line is we all have to decide if a report is bogus or not. I tend to be a trusting sort myself and I think the vast majority are legit.

Time for fishing?? Who's got time for fishing? laugh

T Dot,

Reports get posted within 1-2 days of being submitted, depending on how busy my life is at the time!
