Does anybody know the regulations on what size of boat you can have in lake ballinger. I would like to take my 19 foot bass boat out there but I don't know if there is a limit on horse power ratings for the lake. It's a quite small lake and I wouldn't even use my motor, probably just my trolling motor, so if you know the rules let me know. Thanks...

yeah123coo...Size of your boat should be okay, as far as I know. Problem is, I believe all internal combustion engines are prohibited on Ballinger, and power is limited to electric only.

Good luck if you give it a go!

Hey, yeah123, I fish Ballinger all the time. There are no internal cumbustion engines allowed on the lake, electric motors or oars only. You can't even have a gas-powered motor on your boat, even if not in use. I know that sucks, but those are the rules. A lot of tickets handed out on Ballinger every year. Game warden is plain-clothed most of the time.

I fish out there in a 16' drift boat with a 24v Minn Kota...works great. Let me know if you want to come out some time in my boat and then you don't have to worry about it.

Hey thanks for the info, I really wish I could take my bass boat out there but its alright I will survive. That would be really great to plan a trip and go fish Ballinger in your boat, I'm stricktly a bass guy though, but if that bite is really slow I guess we could try some trout if you fish for that. This saturday I am pretty booked as I am moving all day, but lets keep in touch and maybe figure something out in like two or three weeks, my email address is yeah123coo@hotmail.com, talk to ya soon.
