We usually head to Jameson, but I'm really tired of all the BS that goes with it. My biggest gripe is all the garbage that gets left behind. mad

If you're going to Pine Lake don't bring a boat on a trialor. There is no longer any access for trailored boats at the park-car toppers only.

If the weather is nice I may go to Fish Lake near Coles Corner. Always a good weekend to fish the year round lakes.

Normally I don't like making things harder for anglers but I must say getting rid of the trailer boats on Pine was a great change. No more 20 foot jet boats being launched from that small rough launch. The lake last year was half as crowded and twice as peaceful (as peaceful as opening day can be!)

Anyway, may be selfish but I am glad of the change. The lake's too small for the amount of boats that would get on it. Of course, if I didn't have a Pontoon boat I guess I would be singing a different tune.

I'll be heading to Fishtrap or Fish lake (Eastern part of the state) depending on the weather. It's supposed to be cold and rainy, but hopefully it'll change.

Some idiots were launching their boat via trailer at Pine a few days ago. They had their ford exploder parked with all 4 wheels in the water. Not sure how they avoided the new barriers, but what a bunch of dorks... Same day a guy and his kid were sneaking down for some pre-season trout fun. Told them to get lost (in a nice way...).

Electric motors only too. No more choking on fumes out there...

I emailed the parks department director and asked about hand launching a trailered boat. I have an email (I will bring just in case) from him saying that I can bring my 14ft alum boat on a trailer, carry it down (with help of a buddy) down to the water, and then park my truck\trailer outside the park. They have a nice new parking lot, but limitted space. They don't want people hogging 2 spots for rig\trailer....

Either way, the park will be a TOTAL ZOO saturday and sunday. I can't imagine trying to find a spot on the dock...
