Hi Folks,

I'm new to the area and would like to fish near 3 Tree point for salmon and crab (my bro-in-law has a boat near there).

Can anyone tell me if there's historically been decent fishing there? Is the season open now in that area for salmon/crab? Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Alfred

Salmon opens June 1 in Marine Area 11 (3 tree waters). About mid-July salmon fishing can be spectacular around 3 tree

Thanks very much Carl - can't wait to give it a try!

I'm hoping to land a few for the grill this summer (even as a novice)....so I'm reading all I can about the best rigs for fishing that area.

Thanks!

Welcome to the board Alfred.........and I'll bet if you search 3 Tree Point in the archives here, you'll find a bunch "what works" advice, especially from Carl thumbs

Heck, just look for his boat and do everything he does laugh

I mainly fish the Redondo area but 3Tree and the Des Moines area all the way south to Browns Pt. will be fishy too.
