Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to find Lewis lake but have been unable to find it. I think it is somewhere off of east gate road but I haven't seen it.

Is there anyone who has been to the lake that could possibly give some directions to it? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I was just out there (lewis LK) on tuesday. it's full of millfoil but did get a nice lil small mouth . here are the directions to the lake .if your either coming from Garrison (inside the gate ) or from the East gate . turn at the C5-A mock up. Ya cant miss it ,Its a C5 -A galaxy fusalauge . go about 5 miles . your 2nd hair pin curve past muck creek ,there will be a dirt road (tank trail) if you keep going straight the lake is about 300 meeters down the tank trail.if you go around the curve and go another 2 miles you will come to the Nisqually river tank crossing.you have gone way too far. may I suggest that you go to North West Adventure Center on N.Fort . If you have an ID card to get on post . they have lots of good maps of main post and the S.rainier training area

Thanks for the directions. I will have to give it a try. I got one of those maps from the Northwest Adventure Center and it showed that I should go south on I-5 (from the base) then take it all the way to Marvin road exit and head towards yelm. I think that way is way too long so I am going to try the way you suggested after my kids wake up from their nap.

I think the lake is only open to DoD employees since it is on post. Sorry:(

There are some spots inside the East gate that are open to anyone who knows how to get there. If the turn is made on the gate side of the c-5 mock up you should be good. I know Chambers is open to the public.
