Ok so me and my buddy are taking a week vacation and a couple days we are going to spend over in eastern washington doing some Bass fishing mainly. We are going to hit up Stan Coffin as we have heard from friends its a good place to go bassin seeing as its c&r only. Well a question to anybody that has taken a trip there or know about the area. Is there places to camp, if so what type of area is it, with a hike or without? Or would it be better to just rent a motel/hotel. Not sure what is in the area but we are looking for something cheap. Any suggestions would be great!!
Also, if you have fished Stan Coffin, any suggestions on your technique, lure choice/color would be really cool to. We have a good variety of lures and colors so throw some ideas out there. One last thing, is there any other lakes other than the potholes that are good bass fishing? Any help would be VERY appreciated. Thanks in advance, and keep on bassin!!
C&R!!

It's in the Quincy Seep Lakes Area. You can camp there, nothing fancy typical pit toilet and rough launch. Nearest motel is 20 minutes away. Road into the lake is gravel and will be dusty this time of year. Be careful of rattlesnakes they like the area. This lake is close to Burke and Quincy lake but they closed July 31st. Evergreen Reservior is also further down the road that has all types of spiny rays. I would camp at Evergreen and then hit Stan Coffin if it were me.

Go prepared for very hot weather, there is little to no shade in the area.

Good Luck laugh

Thanks for the help! The sunblock will be out in full force, but it will be lots of fun. Appreciate the response hopefully i can get another before we leave. What was your lure of choice? Soft plastics, deepwater, topwater? If you dont mind me asking, thanks.

Team C&R Out!!

I like topwater for bass, exciting stuff. It was many years ago when I fished Stan Coffin. Tried spinnerbaits and live nightcrawlers with a single hook with no weight. Caught nothing but small bass and perch.

From what I've read recently though, there are some nice bass in the lake

Well we just got back from our trip to Stan Coffin. Really wished we would have known if it was alright to have the gas motor or not cause it was 20+ mph winds. Didnt get too much fishing in cause of it and cut the trip short. All together for 1 day between both of us, 3 fish were caught and 1 3 lb. got away. The first two fish were each about a pound. The next morning we tried some topwater chuggers at the boat launch. I hooked into a 3lb. but must have not set the hook good enough cause it got away 3 feet away from the shore!!! But thats alright cause i think i caught the same one about 10 minutes later or his twin. Theres nice sized bass in there, just try to hit it when the wind is down(it really kills the trolling motor battery)
