+1 on the Viento, its fast becoming my go-2 steelhead reel.

I'd sure feel sorry for that tweeker if S_F gets a grip on him..........

The older Viento's are OK. The new ones seems to be crap and fail quite easily. Don't know if or what parts changed, but something did.....

The Viento I've had from day 1 is rock solid. It's gotta be pushing 5 years old now, if not older. I don't even recall if I swapped out drag washers in it with carbon fibers.

There is/was no difference in the look of my old and new Viento's. Other than the new one felt "cheap" when operated. I know Bob and Carl had some issues with newer Viento's too.....not too sure how one would know what reel was what by looking at them, or didn't have a solid one to compare against.

Would consider a lighly used RH Revo STX-HS as well.
