Just getting into trapping season and looking to find someone that can get small animals done well. Bobcat and the like. Have not set anything out yet but have minimal freezer space this time of year so would like to have someone to send a cat to incase we find the door closed on a trap.

Not looking for a guy good on large game. I have one of those but my small stuff is just not great when I get it back. Any help would be good. Prefer keeping close to home if possible.

I had my cat done by Stokes off of Mullenix/SR 16, reasonable price and it came out great!

Rick's Taxedermy in Ravensdale. Used to compete in contests and has won numerous awards for his work. Spendy though.

Quality cat men are very rare and not cheap.
In my opinion most cats are destroyed by well intentioned taxidermists.
Even guys that turn out good shoulder mounts often don't posesss the skills to mount cats properly.
NEVER get a cat mounted based strictly on price.
You'll most often get something back that you'll be apologizing for instead of being proud of.

I'd pay the shipping to send it cross country if it were something I was proud of.

Philip Soucy of Libby Montana mounted this monster Lynx for me, it took 2nd in the World Taxidermy Championship Competition a few years back.
He is a cat master.

Damn! Those are some beautiful cats. Love the second and third ones, nice and dark. Where were the bobs taken?

Those are sweet but $1800+ for a bobcat.....ouch. Might be worth it for a 30lbs+. See what I get but thanks for the name Sal. I will look up stokes as well.

Let's hear the stories on how Sal and Pat's cats came to need a good taxidermy man.

Yeah.

I love me a good bobcat/lynx story.

I remember one in Elmer Keith's book, where he walked up on a leg trapped cat & it jumped up & swiped the hat off his head. He drew down on it while falling backwards & drilled it with his 44 special.

Good times !
