OK are these some kind of gimmick to get you to buy 9 times more lures than you need to?

Do they have any practical application?



Would they work in a Western WA lowland lake?

The regs state one line with up to three hooks may be used so that limits how useful that rig would be. I'll bet it makes a great tangled mess.

Kinda my thinking. Ford Fender-style junk heaps are a pain enough as-is.

How would you cast out such a spider web?

Wouldn't the wiggling action just wrap it all up in itself? Especially if you trolled too fast?

That rig is used back east for the striper bass. It is suppose to act like a school of bait fish. The first time I saw that rig was on TV while watching a stripper tournement. The rod looked like a broom handle and the reel, a motorcycle winch.
