Anyone know where to buy nightcrawlers around the University of Washington area or closest place? All tackle shops I find sell nothing but trout/salmon tackle.

Go Huskies!

Go to the nearest Fred Meyer store. Look at them before you buy. Sometimes the are dead.

Pal,
Nightcrawlers at the GI's I go to are like $1.49 for a dozen and like $2.79 for 2 dozen....I don't consider that too pricey...Oh and if you can't buy the Nightcrawlers, dig them yourself...

Rather than try to dig water the lawn and go out after dark. look under trees, open spots, etc. The trick is to not shine the light on them but rather to the side. Look for where they are coming out of the ground and grap that end. Slowly pull them out. You can catch plenty once your reaction times get good.
