I am digging my way thru my collection of old lures and came across some leftover spoons. As I recall, this collection had a Johnsons Automatic Striker minnow in it, as well as several very race Chix Plugs.

One of the things, I found interesting are these "Wonder" spoons made in Canada. I can only assume that Les Davis bought the pattern to later market them as the Canadian Wonder.

i'd spray/slather them spoons with WD/40 for 12 hours then flip. after another 12 they are ready.

i'd put a split ring between the hook on that last spoon.

Probally won't be fishing that last one, 1903 was awhile back.
Them other, I been soaking in cider then rubbing on with some stuff to bring them to life.

Couple more pictures, this one looks like a Kokanee dodger with a Hook on it, excepting for the name in all.

She says, Seattle Model 6 , patent 728,360 I can't read the month but the year is 1909

Couple other odd balls, One is marked C & S the other is Kewell Stewart

Jason those are cool old spoons,a quick rub with barkeepers friend will bring them back to life without harming/scratching them, the Seattle six you have was also sold as a small dodger and string rigged with two treble hooks and marketed as West Waterway special by Martin up into the early 80's

The canadian wonder is a killer spoon for a certain lake up on the Quinault Reservation. They don't make those anymore either. That wonder spoon you have there would be very valuable to a collector. The fact that you have the original packaging that it came with is amazing. The packaging alone may be worth a bit. If I were you I would be very careful with how you "bring back to life" that spoon. If you are looking for some spoons to fish with I would gladly throw a bunch your way in exchange for that thing. Just my two cents.

big.fishy, Gibbs still sells a "wonder"spoon that is fairly faithful to the original other than slightly heavier and split rings instead of welded jump rings. They are proud of them though

Pt Defiance is another favorite of mine as well! I only have one left in my arsenal. I found one at a garage sale a while back inside a tackle box and I wanted to buy just the spoon, the s.o.b made me buy the entire box to get it. Everything else was junk but I got the spoon in the end. A couple weeks later I broke it off on some under water debris frown Then I had another crying session.

I went to a garage sale and the guy had hundreds of salmon spoons. Ones just like those ones and some made from Abalone shells and other white shells. My dad bought a bunch and polished a few up with snap on metal polish and they were perfect looked like brand new. I didnt bother i just snaged up the okie drifter for 20cents a peice.

If have a Kewel and Stewart or a Gibbs and Stewart, I would buy them from you.

I am trying to put together a shadow box of all the sizes and finishes.

Don't use them, don't sell them........UNTIL you talk to a few people that collect these old spoons, you could have "some big bucks" sitting there.....
