South King County Puget Sound Anglers
February 9th, 2005 – 7:00 PM
Successful Blackmouth Fishing is our program for February with our special speaker John Abbott. John is a member of the Gig Harbor Chapter of Puget Sound Anglers, has been fishing the beautiful waters of Puget Sound for 27 years.
He averages 100+ days a year on the water pursuing blackmouth utilizing downriggers throughout the Puget Sound. His techniques and strategies are both interesting and highly effective. Come share an evening with one the South Sound's most successful fishermen as he teaches us how to become more effective and consistent blackmouth anglers.
The presentation will cover topics: blackmouth characteristics, forage spawning areas and timing, keys to consistent fishing, terminal downrigger setup, modifying terminal gear for maximum effectiveness, scents, scent application and dispersal methods, trolling speeds, the Black Box. John will also have copies of digital charts available explaining exactly how he fishes these areas.
And don't forget the raffle! Win a trip to the upcoming Salmon University Seminar. We have two to give away plus lots of other prizes.
See you there!
