It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Mountlake is well north of the U-District..............and Montlake.

smile

And NOBODY wants to live near Montlake. That whole area is a traffic hellhole.

I lived in the Montlake area for a few years. Stunning view of the Superfoods, the bridge, and 520. My driveway was about 90 yards from the 520-Montlake exit. Drove the back roads a lot. Arterials were for suckers.

You need to define "adult living" in order to make any sense of the question. The best thing I can think of with regard to Pullman is its proximity to some good fishing - in season. Most of the year I'd want to be some place else. Seattle has a lot more for an adult to do, both for livelihood and entertainment. But the traffic is among the worst in the country. Living in Seattle only makes sense if one can locate strategically. I lived in the U District not far from Montlake for a number of years. I was in college then, and it was a good place to be.

"Not far" from Montlake is all it takes.

For adult hayseeds and sodbusters maybe.

The Palouse is not just for adults as there is alot to do if you're young. Got two campuses within 10 miles. Moscow Pullman Nightlife

I lived over in Lake City for a couple of years after I started working and we used to hangout downtown most weekends but we went to the U district/45th a few times.

At least they caught the UW rapist and VO will not be sending his gal out to work the streets.
