When I was a juvenile I read everything I could get my hand on by
Burroughs. Tarzan and all the sequels, Thuvia Maid Of Mars, John Carter series. At The Worlds Core etc. Loved Sci Fi an fantasy.
Now much of the SciFi is SciFact and John Carter is a big special
effects extravaganza

I just read that the only thing missing from the new John Carter movie is a . . . story. $250 million worth of mindless action adventure to appeal to tennage boys. I'll probably watch it some weekend when my wife is gone.

Sillywood gets so involved in the special effects that the story line
suffers. Story line, what's that.
But I'll watch it too, when I can get the dvd or it hits ON Demand.
