Hello muzzlebrother, cool ,
i don't know much about the issaquah area, but i can tell you this there are a lot of elk on this side, i tend to look in areas just outside of suburbia, not way up in the hills. i hit local cafe's for coffee and just ask, "seen any elk lately?" you'll be suprised at the response. also, it has been VERY dry, so plan on taking a stand or walking a dirt trail, no brush.

good luck.

I don't know if you can hunt the area around Ken's truck town, but they have some big bulls in that area. My wife and I were merging onto I-90 after having breakfast at Kens. My wife looks to the side of the road and says look at the size of those deer. I look over and almost crapped my pants...those deer were a couple of bull elk, that were at least 6 points per side! I 've also seen a few elk up on Weyerhauser land near N.Bend. Good luck.
