Is this open for late buck? It's near Tri-Cities right?

I would suggest looking at the regs and maps.
It gets a little confusing.............

But,
I just looked it up, and the entire Dayton area (GMU 162) is NOT open for late buck.
The only areas open are:

East: 105-124 Any Whitetail Buck
East: 127-142 Whitetail 3pt. Min
West: All 400,500&600 (See Exceptions) Any Buck

Hope that helps.

Scott

READ THE REGS CAREFULLY. I noticed Scott posted westside units w/ the comment ANY BUCK. (He did mention to see exceptions). I don't have the regs in front of me now, but I'm pretty sure there a few 2 and 3 point minimum areas. BBVD the Skokomish area is normally a killer during late buck, but it has traditionally had a 3 point restriction. Like I said, always check the regs, and then check them again. Having Officer Friendly read them to you can kind of mess up your day! Good Luck to all!

BBVD,

I used to live in Dayton and there is a lot of good area over there, especially along the Tucannon...just a lot of it is private. You pretty much have to be related to someone to get on the really good stuff, but try calling Broughton Land Co. (you'll have to call information to get the #). They own almost all of Columbia County and may let you on. They have some prime areas. If you would like any more info, send me a private message.

Traut,
You are correct that you must read the regs. I put in the "see exceptions" bit because for the Westside, there are several and I did not want to type it all.

I am thinking I will head towards Greenwater / Stampede pass, for one day, and to Winston/Mossyrock for the other. The way my season has gone, I stand as much chance there as anywhere! beathead
