It makes me sad to see that your post was such a negative experience.

You were looking for some information from more experienced sportsmen, and all you got was a bunch of attitude that led to a lot of bickering on two different threads, and probably some hurt feelings for many of those involved.

Don't let it bother you. This board, and several other hunting and fishing boards like it, are invaluable sources of information and future friendships.

I'm sorry that I can't help you with any duck hunting areas on this side of the state. I hunt almost exclusively east of the mountains.

But I am always willing to help a fellow sportsman, especially someone new to the sport. You are definately welcome to go hunting with us next season. We hunt from a 20ft waterfowling sled over about 150 decoys and have a Grand Master level black lab.

Send me an email so we can hook up next season. We also make a weekend scouting/fishing trip in the fall before the season begins.

I also mentioned in another thread that I'd share west side spots too. Mine run from Stanwood up to the Skagit flats. These are "foot" spots and don't require a boat. A boat would make them easier.

I suspect lildrifter would like ones that are closer to PA where he lives. In my case I've never duck hunted over there but think finding hunting areas would be lots easier there then over here north of Seattle.

One thing I'm after is a good halibut shooting spot over the Memorial Day holiday. My preference for a spot would be about 3 foot off the side of my boat.
