so i have this Weaver 440 scope and dont really even care to hold on to it anymore... i will never use it, so i figured with some of the older than me gun nuts on here, you may know a bit more about the value of this thing... its in great shape for being 60+ years old likely, i know that the 330 sells for around 300 on Ebay and the sniper forums and such, but not much mention of the more powerfull 440, except on the CMP forums, people have said "good luck finding one"... well here IS one...

any input?

noone?

i have also seen pictures of others, that had the writing on the plate where the elevation and windage knobs are at... as you can clearly see from my photo, mine doesnt, and is stamped directly on the tube near the end of the scope... i dont know if that is an indication of date, and or if it was a military scope or not... if any of you have a drilled 03, this will make a great scope for a correct period style Sniper Rifle...

doubtfull... i dont want to drill the 03 to accept it, id rather it be original, and i dont care to buy another one, with mounts and other crap, the 75 has the side plate mount i just need the rest, it also has the nice Lyman peep sight, so, i dont know if i actually want to put the scope on there yet.. but it obviously was scoped at one point...

you gonna help me, or insult me?

you by it for 150+ shipping, ill donate 25$ to this site...

Guess which one can actually be accomplished ...

You know me too well Chuck to know which door I'm choosing. grin

Besides my free advice offer was out of the goodness of my heart....I feel that, at times, I need to help the less fortunate. But Redhook seems to have her life all figgered out and doesn't need my help.

Damned if you do damned if you don't...

RvW, do you now finally see what i have been saying all along?

from your previous posts in other threads, i took that as an "advice" to say something screwed up towards me... obviously, i didnt read what you said correctly... body language, tone, expression, ect, cant read that on a comp screen..

i would greatly appreciate your advice concerning this scope, i know you know your sh!t...
