Went to bed last night and was woke up b a stinking coyote about 40 yards from my back door. My shop light burnt out giving him a sense of security to come closer than normal. Being a firm supporter of the outdoor economy I have one of those optronics gun lights. Well with that red lense on it I was able to sight in on that coyote and shut him up for good. That was the first time I've ever used that light when I was hunting. Works pretty good.

Just thought I'd share that with this pretty dead hunting board. Way too quiet since db left.

Been a few 'Possum I would like to do that to, but unfortunately I am within city limits and my neighboors would crap a load if I did.

Pellets have no affect on them!

Cool. I wish I lived in an area where I could shoot. There would be fewer crows and starlings around.
Pellet guns can work for the point blank range execution of opossums when they're in a box trap.

Sounds like fun and a good way to keep the populations in check.

You sure are right, it's a dead spot here since driftboater got shoed out. I loved hearing his opinion and even more the opinions of others that hated what he said.
