today was interesting... very actually... the GF wanted to go run around, so i postponed fishing (probably shouldnt have) and said OK... i could have litterally gone broke today, but made alot of money, but we kept it smart, theres always tommorow for that some of the items we got today: an ancient Roman Ring, possibly a Gladiator Kill Ring, or a Devil Eyes ring, from 200-400 A.D. a gold painted/illuminated leaf from the Koran from the 1700s a pair of Chinese Binding Shoes, that were actually used, probably from the 1500s an old Marriage Lisence from Germany, date 1891 (just looked cool) an ancient Jade Knife, around 2000 years old.. then i saw this painting, it was at one sale that didnt have much, but i liked it, its rather simple, and it was 2 bucks, the lady said "we couldnt find a signature, so its probably not worth anything"... (the frame itself is worth more than 2 bucks)... so i take it home, and pop the back off to pull the picture out, when i pull the cardboard off, there is a Lithograph behind it...im immeadiately like WOW, thats cool, an old stage coach scene, called The Road Summer, by Nathaniel Currier... its being researched for authenticity by the Friesen art gallery in Seattle as we speak... its companion picture The Road Winter, has sold as high as 7k, with a few even higher than that... oh yeah, when i pulled out the painting that i actually was looking at, it was signed, and dated Austraila 1968, by Tadashi,Isaka... they are also researching that one as well, and were very interested in it... also got a very very old Renior reprint called Cup of Chocolate for 5 bucks... new reprints go for as high as 1k in some places... fun day, hopefully a very productive one... anyone else get out and buy sh!t they dont need?

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I happened to find a complete T. Rex skeleton at a sale down the street. Probably from modern day Wyoming, around 66 million years ago.

Gravity, huh?
That kid was pretty cool to give you gravity.
Next time I drop something on the floor, I'm going to be thinking I should set you on fire.
I'm pretty sure you can't sell your gravity for millions, though. I'm selling that skeleton next week for real American dollars.

That story's not even believable, KK. I can't believe Hank gave away gravity. Don't you know what could happen? If my skeleton floats away before I can sell it, Hank, we're going to have words.

or maybe the owners of the Estate had died, and the family had a person sell it off to pay back bills or whatever? happens ALL THE TIME... some people cannot wait for auctions, or whatnot, they need to get rid of it 3 weeks ago, so they go the route of Estate sales and offer the things for lower than what they are actually worth.... genius..
got an email back from the Friesen Abmeyer Fine Art gallery, the owner said that he doesnt know much about the lithograph, because its rare... my best option to learn more would be to try to dig up what i can, or take it to an appraiser that deals with 19th century art...
he did say it was a steal to get those 2 pics for 2 bucks tho, HA!.

One ring to rule them all! RH wields his powers over garage sales. King Solomon... I am sure.

uhhhh probably because i have had it for just over 24 hours, i wanted to go to the river today, and i can do some research on my own, im not new with computers...
just found one being offered for 3k, and another style picture from the same guys on ebay for 8900...
i might just throw it up on Ebay for 2 grand and see what happens, i mean a 1998 $ profit isnt so bad i guess...

i have every idea how many of those lithographs were reprinted... the guy from Martin Zambito told me about it, but from what i told him, he said it would be wise to get it checked out, he wanted me to bring it in, Seattle is a ways away for me... so i will have to go somewhere down here... the other picture is hand painted, so i know its original...
i also didnt buy the ring, nor the knife to make any money on, you can see i said pretty much that in a previous post.. i bought them because they were cool looking, and i dont know anyone with anything from 2-400A.D., so why not? the knife, i can make into something cool, or just leave it as is, i really dont care, it just liked it and bought it...
the painting, was bought to make money off of, and it just so happened, that behind it was the lithograph...
anyways, i just thought i would share some cool sh!t and see if anyone else got some cool sh!t over the weekend... appearently it was stupid of me to think that would be OK, since there are artists, ancient Roman artifact dealers, and appraisers on this site that can tell what something is just by looking at a picture from the internet....
but, im stubborn, i will instead listen to the people at art gallereys, if its fake, i dont care, i actually bought it 1 because of the painting (i can sell it for more than 2 bucks guarenteed), and 2, because i really liked the frame....
anyways, back to your regularly scheduled retardedness, ive got a game to watch, mods, you can go ahead and delete this, i will share things that i think are cool to people that will actually find them interesting...
toodles...
