I have been drying prunes on my back deck. Tye has been on a diet. He found the two big racks of prunes and ate almost all of them. I suspect he's gonna have the trots for a good long while. . . .

Start feeding him canned pumpkin (not pie filling) ASAP.

Dave, that's a lot of sugar. Not especially good for dogs.

Emergency vet said to give him hydrogen peroxide.. We did . He puked up most of the prunes. He's feeling kinda punk right now but I think he will be fine.

Grapes and raisins are quite toxic to dogs. Haven't heard this is true for plums/prunes, but it seems obvious that too many could cause considerable digestive distress. If a large number of pits are ingested, an intestinal blockage can occur. Glad to hear the peroxide treatment worked.

Amen. I have now found six different puke piles. Pretty sure all the prunes came out along with everything else he ate in August. He seems fine now but a bit tired.

Just rinse those prunes off and they'll smoke up just fine.

About two weeks ago my smaller (30#) dog ate a pound of dried plums. She seemed normal that night. As I drifted off to sleep that evening I thought, "maybe Sage should be an outdoor dog tonight" but I was too lazy to get out of bed and put her out. That was the worst decision I have made in several years.

Since Mack's been here, he's puked up 8 socks. Not pieces of socks, SOCKS. whole fuggin' socks. It is amazing how tolerant labs are when it comes to that kind of stuff. Glad to hear Tye is doing well. Season's just around the corner, Dave!
