I'm going to be heading over for another round of dog training at Cooke Canyon on the 28th and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some wild targets for my pup for later that afternoon? He's only worked on training birds so far and I'd like to get him onto at least a few quail but don't know that area at all. Just want something quicker and wild for him to provide a better challenge.

You could try the railroad tracks leading south out of town toward the Ellensberg Canyon. Quail like that gunky stuff that often times are along RR tracks. There are other tracks too that are W-NW of town.
