The immaculate non interception. The Immaculate Reception was also a blown call. According to John Clayton of ESPN, that play should have been called back. It seems that in the 70's two players from the same team could not touch the ball. The pass deflected off of 1 Steeler player and was then caught by Franco Harris, which would have been a rules violation. However, the play was allowed to stand and the Oakland Raiders were screwed out of a game. The Steelers made the playoffs. It happens when the Regulars are at work too.

Interesting that they settled. The GM's weren't making any less money without the regulars, were they?
and besides......it's entertaining when you can watch for the screw-ups.

Yes, now we can get back to bad calls by the regular refs. Unfortunately I think it is going to affect the Seahawks in a bad way, because of 2 things: 1) Like 2-many said above, blowback from the immaculate interception, and 2) Seahawk cornerbacks play so physical that outside receivers literally make NO plays against them. I think the the regular refs are going to call some ticky tack stuff on the Hawks. Oh and like I said in the N-H-Smacktalk thread. Wilson is the chosen one.

You guys know that the replay official up in the booth was NOT a replacement official, right?
Right after Rodgers goes to the Green Bay fans and apologizes for scoring 12 points in a professional football game, the Green Bay owner needs to go and apologize to them next since he's one of the dickheads who locked the refs out and hired the replacement refs.

Todd- Green Bay is a publicly owned team. They have a chairman of the board, who runs things and he just goes along with all the other league owners. So if Green Bay fans want to point at the owners they just point at each other. Which makes the whole thing even funnier!
Apakakd - Good insight, and you are correct. 99% of NFL fans know nothing about the unions/labor disputes. I feel like being an NFL fan is one of the biggest forms of being a generic American sheeple that there can be. The NFL basically prints money, and we the sheeple just give in and buy what they are selling as fast as we can. The product is just that good.
Lord knows I can't give it up.

That's right, I forgot that the Packers are essentially owned by their fans...hah!

Hank, I was over it while I was celebrating after the game...nothing to get over, my team got the benefit of the call.
The incessant whining in Green Bay should stop, though...more blame lies with them than lies with the refs.
Fish on...
