I won a .300 Wby Mag Ultralight S/S at a banquet. I put a Swarovski 3-10 on it. It's been a great gun taking many animals from Blacktails to Kodiak Brown Bear. In reality though, if I were just a deer hunter I think anything in the .270 win category is just fine. I love to Bowhunt too! I shoot a Bowtech Allegiance.

For the venison, a Sako Finnbear in 270 Win. The rockchucks get the attention of a 222 Remington Magnum in a Sako Vixen, the L461 action. All old hardware. Early 60s vintage.

More than one deer has been taken with my SKS. That 7.62x39 is a sleeper round.
