Came back Saturday night from a couple of days bow hunting elk. Saw a few and stood up on a nice spike that was coming in, but my no bow elk streak continues.
What was interesting is that coming back up a cat trail I noticed a brand new bottle of Whiskey sitting on a stump on the side of the trail. The bottle was unopened and sealed. Found it odd that someone would lug this jug of whiskey 300 yards down a steep trail and then just leave it sitting out in the open on top of the Stump. Since the thought of a rifle hunter leaving it behind after scoping the hillside doesnt't sound to appealing, I think I will go with the thought that someone out there is trying to bait up a Big Foot. Wonder how the game laws would relate to that?

Could have been the hunting Gods rewarding your hunting streak? No bull, just booze!

What kind of Whiskey was it?

If it was BV or JD or some other crap, it was a Bigfoot tring to bait a hunter. If it was Woodford or Knob Creek it was divine providence.

Did you try and pick it up? Did it move?

When hunting is slow some friends always have a little fun tying fishing line to a bottle of booze and leaving it along side the road. When a passerby bends down to pick it up...somehow it jumps out of their grasp at the last second.
