My Dad used to drive to Mitchell/ White lake S.D. to hunt the opener but... North Dakota opens the week before ...so they'd start there first then go to SD. Expect to pay to play on private land as the public land is way to crowded to drive that far to hunt, at least SD on the opener

I am totally seriious.

We can drive. Or use frequent flier miles to fly and I will rent a car. I wanna get there a day before season opener to scout things out. Might wanna do a pay to play hunt for wild birds for a day or two if we can't find enough open land.

Lets start doing the research. i.e. what part of the state do we wanna concentrate on.

Maybe we should fly back for a couple of days this year to set up for a drive out next year with the dogs and a couple other guys.
