It looks like Tye may be going for an airplane ride. I am a little concerned as I have heard some dog/airplane horror stories. Do any of you with firsthand experience have any suggestions/advise?

Leave him at home with someone you trust. I know I would be worried sick trusting his well being to people I don't know.

We have flown with our labs a couple of times. A lot of it depends on destinations, length of flight, time of year and airlines. I can't remember which airline we used but some have air conditioned bays, while some put them with regular baggage (we went with the airline that had the A/C), we purchased nice kennels for each one and then talked to the vet prior to the trip who recommended a benadryl just prior to the flight to help ease the anxiety. Take this with a grain of salt as we were flying to and from Hawaii.

I bet if we got Tye and Radar a seat on the plane then just let em loose after take off we probably wouldn't get to fly home.
