Sorry, no money to wager in this economy. Perhaps this is even more confusing than the Electoral College for you, Fast and Fullashit, but you don't have to actually wager anything to win this contest. I hope this helps. Fish on... Todd

URGENT CORRECTION Special rule F&F_1A: There is still no fee to participate, unless you're too stupid to read the original post all the way through before you post, then the entry fee is the cost of a 750ml of Makers Mark.

I dont have time to screw around with being a union Casual. Seniority SUCKS. There is nothing equitable about the teamsters. I operate equipment like semis, end dumps Dump and pup, rolloff, lowboy, flatbed, front end loader, some Exc as well as dry and frozen freight.
Im trying to hook up with a couple different jobs that will pay twice what I usually make. Id be ND right now but its not my first choice running frozen fracking water on a dirt reservation in 30 below weather, on the 6pm -6am shift, for 20 days straight, in a truck that might not have a working heater. They beat the crap out of those trucks.
Being an ice road trucker aint bad, if you dont have to sleep in the truck with a leaky exhaust. Which will kill you. Truck exhausts are a series of clamps about 4 inches wide and they leak easily, especially when they dont use the write RTV.
I dont want to waste six month with someone who isnt going to pay enough, or be busy year around. I also dont really want to take a temp type job and bank on spring time when everyone else is now looking to come back to the trucks in ND.
The election will probably take me in one direction or not. If obama wins, the boat will go, the toon will go, the furnishings will get stored or dumped and Ill probably be long haulin again. One day off for each week Im out, so fishing will be completely over. You dont go home, when the fish are in or the water is just right. You go home when your god on the other end of the phone lets you.

Todd Since I know the difference between a free prediction and a wager, I'll just say, I dont care. Im not a pollster and they all seem to predict the win. All I can do it repeat what someone else said on TV, so it does not matter a bit to me. Sorry Rogue, I did not read the rules. They did not matter, as I was not going to place a wager. Thanks for the offer. I dont have any use for hard booze.

Ive already got a card. Teamster dont do the hiring except sand and gravel and although Ive got the hours, I wont have enough seniority to work every day and most of those shops, dont work everyone year around. It can take two years to get enough hours in, to get full time on a mixer truck.
If obama wins, its not coming back. He isnt going to dictate to these guys how many are going to work. Most of the union contracts require 80 hours a month to qualify for medical. If they have to do that from hour one, you wont see any casuals. They will all work skeleton crews. The number of rigs in the yard will shrink due to the increase expenses.
You watch the stock market tomorrow and the rest of the week. If they declare obama the winner, you will have a major sell off, of all long term profits to beat the increase on capital gains.

You sure post a lot on a thread you aren't interested in. If O wins the stock market will have a good run. Invest now.
