I have been known to play a bit of Halo now and then. Especially
when I am feeling destructive.
Son bought me a game "Dishonored." Interesting, one can play it
in Chaos mode and kill damn near everything in sight or play it
in stealth mode, that is tougher.

Got a point Slab, I'd rather be fishing but my worry wart family gets
antsy when I go out alone. Next thing is they'll start worrying about
my driving. Oh well.

Salmo g, that's OK. there's obviously a lot you have not idea about.

i'm a huge tomb raider fan. lara croft holds my attention very well. the most recent game legend, well let just say the game creators did her very, very well.

Back in the day I was the savior to my boys whenever they got stuck on a level in one of their games. Dad to the rescue!

Last December my oldest son begged me to play Medal of Honor, or some other first person shooter game. I loved those types of games back when I had some spare time, and sat down to play on the Xbox with him. After 20 minutes of having my head explode, or dying in other equally spectacular ways, I made him use only a knife. I still died, many times, over the next hour or so. I killed him once, but from a distance when he set off one of the claymores I had set.

Haven't played a game since. How times have changed.

havent played Dishonored... havent played alot of the newer games, they are too damn expensive at 70 bucks a crack in some cases... i do like to play Call of Duty tho... started with World at War which is based on WW2, and went from there... got extremely high on Modern Warfare 2, and am pretty high up on Black Ops, 34,000+ kills, and around 27,000 of those kills are sniper kills... people dont like me that much on that game...

Did see Pong in a few bars. It was fun. Then Pac Man. Never saw much point. As near as I could figure out, the purpose of electronic games was to separate the player from about $20 worth of quarters just to figure out what the game was about.

So what you're saying is that being a slower learner is painful?

I s'pose Pin ball was out of the question for ya'? Hand, eye, quarters and all....

Played Nintendo games with the son at Christmas 25 years ago, went back to work that week and then tried to play it with him the next weekend and that 8 year old shamed me and I haven't played a video game since. The son has gone on to be a Microsoft XBox game tester.

Pinball and pool from time to time, but the main reason for going to the bar was beer. I think Stam's right about those sports being invented in his youth. It must of been the inventers themselves who were my coaches. But wait just a dog gone minute; Casey and Babe were way before my time . . .
