Bob,

I have to believe that this website and the bulletin board at VFS contributed substantively to the defeat of SB 5104. The facility of near instant BB and email communication allowed a great many of us to learn about a bill we may never have otherwise heard of - until it was too late. Then the availability of email allowed us all to drown the senators with our reasoning and opposition to the proposed bill.

I just wanted to express my thanks for the part this BB played in a significant legislative outcome.

Power to the people!

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

I have no doubt that you are right, Salmo. Recreational fishers are usually the last ones to know about laws that may affect their fishery, and usually find out after the fact. Getting involved at the earliest level certainly has its advantages, and this BB gave us an arena to keep in contact and pass along news.
Thanks, Bob.

Let's keep it up.
Fish on...
Todd.

Remember we outnumber the other interests by what 100 to 1. With websites, email and persistence we can be heard this time.(Proof in defeat of SB 5104) Hit the government with email every chance you get. Tell them to fund the hatcheries. Tell them we want the release of all native steelhead made LAW.

Thanks guys for your input ... I'll have to admit that it makes me feel good thinking that the site may have helped. And to Bruce ... LAW it shall be!
