Drifted the Sauk yesterday from Sauk Praire Rd. to the takeout below the Suiattle. My 14 year old son caught and released his first ever steelhead. What a great experience for both of us. Beautiful hen around #15. Thanks to those who replied to my request for river reports. By the way the river conditions were great. At least 3' Visibility at the put in and nearly 2' at the take out. Better than I had expected with the warm weather on Friday and Saturday. Best fishes to all.

Congratulations to your son!!! He'll probably be on ya every weekend to take him fishing.
We fished Sunday from the Mill all the way to the Gov't bridge and didn't hit a thing.I know the river came up about a foot Sat.and was dropping by yesterday afternoon. I sure the fishing is better today.

I forgot to mention that we were checked by the game warden(Phillips) as we dropped down next to the road above the Suiattle. He said they have finally got some travel money allocated so they can provide SOME enforcement. We saw the usual globs of eggs and sand shrimp hanging from the brush on the upper float and told him so.
