I fish the Sound (Edmonds Area}, the Sky, Sno, and Forks area and want to know what the best boat for fishing both the rivers and Sound would be. I figure some type of aluminum 16 - 18 ft that drafts little but can handle 3 to 4 footers in the Sound. I assume a jet pump would be in need. If anyone has any thoughts it would be great. Thanks in advance!!!

I have the boat for you. 21ft Alumawaeld Supervee. 200 hp merc with tiller, 8hp merc kicker. Tons of extras. Galvanized tandem axel trailer. I can give u more info.. It will take the big water and skinny rivers. Email me @ BBowers@moovers.com.

JK-
The supervee is a great boat, but don't plan on using it over in the forks area!!! It's drift boats or nothing over there. The supervee will provide a good ride in the salt, but I prefer the 18' semi-vee (like the intruder series or the woolridge sport series) because it is a little easier to handle when the water flows are low in the sky and snoqualmie. I personally have debated between jet and drift boat for a couple years now and I am leaning towards the drift boat. You can do all the rivers and with the coming salmon restrictions the amount of opportunity in the sound will be very limited. Good luck.

JK,
Before you buy anything, Drift or power, Take
a look at Koffler Boats out of Eugene, Or.
Great people to work with & a lot of different designs. They will send you a full
color broshure with price list & options.
My 16' drifter is being built right now.
They can be reached at (541)688-6093. You'll
deal directly with Bruce Koffler or his son
John. Good luck. Tight Lines , Ric

I agree Ric, I have owned my Koffler for a couple years, and dealing direct with the owner is great-they have great suggestions and very helpful. Koffler makes an awesome boat.
