Canary.
Getting a beter look at it here on the big screen... I dont see the classic face stripes of a Canary, but the lateral line stripe is fairly indicitive.

Anal and pelvic fins say Canary, not Yelloweye. Beautiful fish dat.

Yelloweye. The color of the fish in the picture is faded looking like a Bocaccio bronze, but its lower jaw is not protruded enough. The rounded tail fin edges look like Yelloweye. There are no points on the tail to make it a Canary. I took the picture and cleaned it up until Daves bibs looked red and then the fish became orange. Its eye turns a brighter yellow too. The edges of the fins became darker too.
Printing color is going to be a detrimental for our rockfish identification for our bottom fishers in our state.
A vermillion is more of a redish and I am hearing that they are moving into the Puget Sound? News to me.
That is a very pronounce lateral line for a Yelloweye, but some are.
Rockfish colors are going to be a lot of fun as I have pictures of copper rockfish from California and they have an oragish tint and ours up here don't.
