Rogue Spinner baits are the baits of choice on the Rogue River.

Little tip.... buy 1, see how it is tied and then build your own. Buy your own baldes, beeds, line. With the manufactured baits you are fishing poor line and thin blades. Make sure you get the interchangable blade clips too.

G-Spot blades are perferred.

Good luck.

We used to make our own spinners to fish for springers on the Skagit in the 1970's. called them winner spinners. About a four inch blade on steel cable with big beads. Is this the same thing? Those kings would hit it so hard that you usually had to toss the cable after a strike. It would be mangled.

Just wondering how you guys are fishing the spinners for springers. Are you drifting them slow with lead, just fishing them alone, or some other method. I am looking for some more ideas on how to catch the springers. Thanks in advance.

We fished the winners out of a boat just dropping a ball of lead to the bottom with the spinner a foot above that. Anchor right in a slot. Back then though there were alot of fish and it was just a matter of time.
