...shot a jake in Idaho. 10 gauge, 1 shot, dead and floppin'. Been having lots of school work to do so I've only been out three times. Didn't make it up to Colville area. My family did though. Brother shot a tom, dad a jake, and another guy that went along dumped a nice globber. Guess there were lots of birds. How is your hunting going??? Any fishing??? Be home in three weeks for some summer-runs. Thought I'd pass an email along. Talk to ya later.

Hey, Boto, nice to hear from you. I'm in the process of changing jobs, so I'm not checking this page much lately. The turkeys have not been kind on the West side, though I've had a few chances, none have been bagged. Give me a call when you're in town. Later. Todd.

Got back.. was there 8 days. weather had us beat for the birds. was cool and breezy and some snow. had two good days. only heard 2 gobblers saw one fly out his tree, as the cattle I spooked, scared the bird. Still a good trip, got a bucket full of agates. too cold for the mushrooms to be up yet. and way too cold for the bugs and ticks to eat us. Heard they did OK early in the season as the birds were more active Sure is nice over there at that time of year

The GameHog,
My blood was hunting around Daisy and Hunters and above the lake more than around Colville. Lots of birds but as mentioned above the bad weather has slowed the success lately. It is all over after this weekend.

Ripped a jake on the 7th. Missed a few opportunities on some bad boys, but live and learn, eh? Shot it in Thurston County, don't ask where, but it wasn't where everyone else hunts at the Skook' Wildlife area. I haven't heard of anything else shot around here at all. I guess I got lucky, or at least have a lucky spot.
Boto, went to the *** River, today, me and my buddy caught three summer runs and two winter runs. Not too bad considering we didn't start until noon and were off the river by three. You can probably guess which river I mean.
Fish on... Todd.
