Any recent reports from the Cowlitz lately? When I went a little over a week ago, it was very slow. Saw four boats on the water, 1 jack out of all of them. I also noticed at the rather large amount of trucks and trailers at the Barrier Dam, but they must have gone down past Blue Creek where I took out. We had a slow day, hooked up once with a jack on plugs, but it was worth it as the weather was hard to beat. I heard from some guys that the hatchery had less than 70 fish in their pools. When the fishing picks up, it is expected to pick up rather rapidly and it probably won't last too long. Anyway, if anyone has heard anything or would like to talk about this river, please post.
Good Luck!

The cowlitz will close for springers at midnite on may 31st due to low returns.
