Thirsty?

http://loudwire.com/acdc-signature-brand-of-beer/

Hard rock and beer go together swimmingly, don’t you think? Various rock acts have released their own official brews in the past, and Australian legends AC/DC recently joined the club with a new, full-bodied German beer.

This isn’t AC/DC’s first foray into the business of alcoholic beverages. The Australian band’s signature bottles of wine became available in the U.S. in mid-2012. However, this is AC/DC’s first official beer, and if you want to be a “real rocker,” the legends will be happy to induct you with their personal intoxicant.

Under the headline, ‘The Beer For Real Rockers,’ AC/DC describe their alcoholic offering via the beer’s official website:

If you wanna rock hard, you need the right beer.

AC/DC, the infamous Hardrock Legends from down under, have been delivering true rock for the last 40 years. Now they give their name for true, pint-sized Australian taste as well.

“AC/DC Premium Lager Beer ” is 568mL of true German Premium Lager with mouthwatering 5.0% alc.

This lager fires up your tongue like TNT, comes with a great beer-loving taste and is brewed in accordance with the Rock`n Roll manifesto of 1973 and the German purity law of 1516.

In other words: AC/DC, Beer & Rock ‘n’ Roll! Other legendary bands who have unleashed signature brands of alcohol include KISS and Motorhead, both of which have released a line of official beer products. In fact, Motorhead haven’t just poured their fans glass after glass of Bastards Lager, but hearty portions of Sacrifice Shiraz, as well.

Head over to ACDC-Beer.com and check out the band’s brew for yourself! Currently, the brew is available in Germany. No word on when and if it will be heading to the United States.

***************

Guess you'll have to go to Germany to get it, at least for now.

Fish on...

I carried the sandwich with me on a flight from Chicago to Seattle and Dan met me at the airport and gave me a ride home so that he could eat the sandwich.

I ate one in Chicago, and ate another one with Dan...and yes, it is a helluva sandwich.

A few months ago I saw a contest on the Food Network for the best Italian Beef Sandwich in the USA...and the sandwich that I carried home on the plane was the winner wink

So Johnnies got some great roast beef. Next time I visit the relatives I'll have to check it out.

Sounds like a deal to me, a ride home in return for a great roast beef sandwich.

Todd probably could have said he was at O'Hare and needed a ride home and I'd have picked him up there as long as he had a Mr. Beef italian beef samich with sweets and hots.

I couldn't believe how good the samiches still were after a 4-hour plane ride. rofl

You can get a reasonable substitute mail order from Lou Malnati's in Chicago. We get a kit and have italian beef samiches for dinner every Christmas eve, They're from Portillo's, but they're damn near as good as Mr. Beef and you get beef, gravy, rolls, sweet peppers and hot giardiniera in the kit. Deeeeelicious.

I've gone to Mr. Beef's every time I've been in Chicago since Dan turned me onto the Italian Beef Sandwich, with hot and sweet peppers, of course.

If you don't make a big mess you ain't eatin' it right.

(Yes, that applies in many applications, not just sammiches)
