I have been fishing the Sky/snohomish the last few weeks for silvers, and I have been appalled at the number of people, I have seen, that are deliberately snagging or trying to snag fish. Buzz bombs are good lures for silvers in the rivers, with a single hook, not a 2/0 treble. I feel embarassed to fish near these guys, dragging in fish sideways, and backwards, and then bonking them on the head. I wish the fish and game would patrol more, or at least the holding holes, where the snaggers seem to congregate. I think if guys are just going to go snag fish, they should just use the money, for their lures, rod and reel and gas to get to the river, and buy a fish from safeway, and stay the hell home.

I guess I was so tired of bitching below that I spaced over the professional snaggers in orting. If anyone knows a fishcop as a friend please tell him to pull some strings and get MORE ENFORCEMENT on the rivers. A few covert ops would not bother me a bit. These jagoffs need to be caught and FINED heavily. Those of us who play by the rules will end up paying for this when the media learns about it and the willing accomplices in Olympia start shutting down rivers. The only way to protect our resource is to get these people out of the rivers.
