Apparently, this is Obama's fault. It doesn't have to have serious consequences or be painful, but instead the word has come from the top that these cuts, instead of being responsible, have to come in the most intrusive way possible.. I heard this from one of the higher ups at the BLM who said I could cut 5% out of our contracts and no one would know the difference.. Instead the asshole in cheif is politically grandstanding and working hard to push us towards a 1 party system by pushing furlough days, cutting national park hours, etc to push his agenda. Want to solve the fiscal cliff, sell the 50 billion worth of gm stock the goverment owns and we are up net 4 billion.

While Obama was out playing golf rather than thinking of ways to avoid shutting down White House tours, the Republicans in the House had things figured out ahead of time. Boehner sent a letter to his constituents in Ohio to let them in on what was going on. "The White House announced today that White House tours are being canceled effective Saturday, March 9, 2013 until further notice due to staffing reductions resulting from sequestration. While I'm disappointed the White House has chosen to comply with sequestration by cutting public tours, I'm pleased to assure you that public tours of the United States Capitol will continue. Under the leadership of the House officers and their teams, who oversee daily operations in the Capitol in consultation with the Office of the Speaker, planning for the possibility of sequestration has been underway for some time. Consequently, alternative spending reductions have been implemented within the Capitol complex to ensure public tours and other regular activities can proceed as they normally would."  Did you see the presidents Golf outings were cut in as well (by the R's) until the tours are started up again.. (his outing with tiger woods allegedly cost over 1 million dollars to the american tax payer)
