This is big news in the North Central. Locals have been finding headless carcasses all winter. The meat was left to rot. The punishment should be SEVERE!

A couple decades ago, I dropped off a remote 4x4 road into a deep basin and came upon a large, well-aged bull elk carcass sans head about 40 yards below the road. Head hunters should be shot...



... and then prosecuted.....

Interested to see the names.....heard the Colville Cops were contacted.........

I have seen two in my life. both along HWY 22 going toward Detroit Lake. one with no head, the other with the horns cut out. losers........

Only one name is available so far, as only one of them has been arrested. The name is Garret Victor James Elsberg, and from looking at his Facebook page, I believe he is a Colville tribal member. He was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

If you look him up on Facebook, you'll see pictures of at least two mule deer and one whitetail deer killed in 2012. I don't know if any of those were the poached deer though.
