Heading down to Grays Harbor this weekend and have Saturday to fish. Was wondering which would be my best shot?! If anyone has any info on either river I would really appreciate it. Also, if there is a better option close by let me know. Anyone know how the Satsop is fishing?

Thanks for the info. in advance. Remember none of us knows more than all of us.

Don't know how the satsop has been. It's been blown every chance I've had to go in the last few weeks. I know it closed on the 15th for wild coho and the chances of catching a hatchery one are pretty slim now. I wouldn't think it would be worth fishing if you are looking for something to put on the table but for a CR fishing trip it might be good. this is when the BIG native silvers should be running.

Fished the Satsop on Sunday--very high and off color but still managed to get my 10 year old son into fish. We stuck a very black chinook buck that just about spooled us, and then broke off, briefly had an old chum on, and managed to land two silvers. Most of the action was around the S curves--saw mostly snaggers with chums foul hooked. We were the only boat on the river. No rain and a great father & son outing. Best of luck. My buddy has a report but I haven't heard from him yet. Email me for an update.

Fished the Salmon today in the rain at Q 1000 bridge. kinda slow. 1 steelhead and 2 chinook caught. Yesterday was better. Watch the rain for the week-end. still good vis at 2:00pm. Good luck, Letty
ps Humptulips still producing coho, mixture of bright and dark fish.
