Does increasing funding to prosecute people who applied to purchase a gun illegally sound like gun grabbing to you?

Jerry---Ideally that is what would happen, unforunately it almost never does. Our small shop gets 1 maybe 2 denied checks a year. The ATF almost always calls for additional info on the deny but never follows thru. We have had denies that would not technically be prosecutable because the person was a legal alien, not prohibited but needed an updated registration number or other form of documentation.
