I am about to float the bogachiel for the first time and I was wondering if there are any must have plugs for this river. What colors for the typical 3-5 feet visablity.

Never fished the Bogy but on the Quinault some killer plugs are silver/firehead warts, purple warts, and if the vis is less I like black with red side hotshots. Good luck.

Most guides here run tadpollies as the water isn't very deep ... colors ... ask ten people, get ten answers ... remember presentation is 95% of the game!!! Flies, plugs, bait ... you name it!

I've had good results in the past with Wiggle Warts in green pirate, bronze and gold with the trebs replaced with 2 gammi 1/0 siwash.

I've always felt Bogey fish liked blood red on plugs, as well as drift bobbers. A buddy of mine is a believer since he C&R'd a 26 lb. native three years ago on that color with one of the local pro's.

if you're going to pull plugs, why not run bait divers?
