NoodleRodder, we all were young and naive at one time, so we will give you the benefit of the doubt. Keep on being the eager fisherman as you seem to be, but.....you have to learn the "Fishermans" way. It is okay to ask questions, but it is much better to sit back, look and learn. IE, it is better to read about what it going on in certain rivers, than to post "Hows fishing in XXXX river?". Most of us aren't going to really tell you straight out if the fishing is great. But we may give out a few hints, this is one reason, you see the term "Zipperlip" used here so often. I am not trying to be mean...but remember listen and learn. By the way.....practice and preach catch and release.....the way for all of us to enjoy the mighty native Steelie. Have fun FishNg!

Well put, Steve. If you fill out Bobs form, Noodle Rodder, you'll be asking the state to reconsider their proposed rule changes regarding an increase in the take of wild steelhead on the peninsula. The state has also tabled the idea of relaxing the regulations on the healthy populations of wild steelhead on the northern Puget Sound rivers. Can't make it any more simple than that.

hardly ... if it was left up to me ... no one in the state would ever be allowed to purposely kill one again ...

Hey Bob it seems that many of you have lost sight of the one purpose of what we're doing on these streams! FISH IS FOOD.If the runs are healthy enough to be able to retain a few per year than I'll vote for that one. Some of the remarks on this page refer to me to fish the lemming rivers if I want fish to eat. (cowlitz,bogie,ect.). I fish for enjoyment, SOLITUDE, and FOOD.I do agree that 30 fish per year is extremely agressive but I would like to see the regs relaxed on some of the other coastal streams I fish regularly and appear to have very healthy stocks; say 3 to five fish per year. Or perhaps you'd find it more acceptable for me to purchase native caught native from Swansons in Deen.
