Since so many of you had input on the type of hooks you use I would like to know what kind of line everyone is using out there. Generally I use the Trilene XT (10lb) or Berkley Fireline also (10lb).

I made the mistake of not putting on fresh line and it cost me a nice salmon. I fished the line for three consecutive days on the Hoh river. My next trip was on the Copalis river. I did not have many snags on the Hoh and there was still plenty of line on the reel so I continued to use it even though I had plenty of replacement line with me. I had a nice salmon on and lost him when he rolled on some rocks in close. That evening I change my line and the next day I realized I should have done so much sooner, my snags were twice as hard to pull loose with the fresh line.

Lesson Learned: CHANGE YOU LINE FREQUENTLY!

MAXIMA ULTRAGREEN,
I use it almost exclusively. I use 4lb all the way up to 25lb. The only other line I use is 35lb tough line for my back bounce and diver rods for chinook, I use it as a mainline but use maxima for leaders. Ive tried other lines but I always come back to maxima.

I've used them all from Maxima to stren, I use Maxima Leaders with Ande main line. For the cost and performance I love the Ande.

On my drift setup, I run a spectra braid, with a maximum ultra green leader.(leader length depending on clarity) I run a braid for trolling with a length of mono before the plug. On my noodle I run maximum ultra-green, but have been experimenting with braid/mono. I love the zero stretch of braid, but when the water is clear I try to use mono or long leaders.
