I went down to the Nisqually and loked around the day after turkey day. They were running but only started. I have been out of town hunting for the last week so I don't know what is going on now. I will probably swing by after work the next few days. I will try to get you a report.

I fished for an hour on Saturday and did not see any caught. There were six on the bank when I got there and they were nice. (fishing must be bad chums nice)It looked like they fish had come in with the tide.

went down below the bridge tonight and watched from my truck in about 10 min I saw about 20 guys fishing and 1 fish caught.
Yes they do run heavy with the tide but when they start to run hard they will ruun anytime depending on the river flow. if it's way up they will poor in. It can't be to hi to fish from what I saw last year. they were swiming through the bushes and I limitted in about 20 min. so did my dad and Brother.

Egg clusters will do the trick fished alone or behind a pearl-pink corky, they work just as well for chum as they do for chinook and coho. Ssshhh...

Bright red corkie and green yarn work very well. Even in very low vis they were still slamming it. We are still some time away before it gets red hot. I will probably go down and fish it for a few hours today. I'll post a report.

Fished for about 45 minutes below the bridge this afternoon, about 15 people fishing, zero fish hooked. The tribal netters were having success earlier in the week. So they are in there, just not thick yet.

Thanks for all the info. I went down there yesterday and today, only hooked one and that was yesterday after the featherheads pulled their nets.Did not see any other fish or hear of any hooked. If any one knows of any other spots besides 99 bridge and handicap holes I would appreciate the info.It appeared the featherheads didnt do very well from what we saw.

The dogs are starting their run now. Nailed a bright hen yesterday after work on home-brewed eggs. Seen approx 4 others caught in area between Muck creek and the tank crossing bridge (Ft Lewis side). Good spots on both sides of the river in this area. Green, red, or orange corkies with green, red, or white yarn seem to be the most popular from what I've seen.
