its a good video Hank, the dude took a plain jane 98 Regal GS put very little money into it, and was putting down 374 HP to the ground... so at the crank he was probably at 450 or so, maybe a little less... the 80+k dollar AMG Benzo in the video only put down 358 HP, the Regal can be found for around 3-5k probably, low mileage maybe a smooch higher...

as for the SHO, you have documented video proof that they can hang with Vettes, and beat every Mustang that comes up against it... ugly as sin, yes, but thats not what sleepers are about wink

When I was a kid my dad gave me a peice of junk Dodge omni. With the little volkswagon engine, good shifting and the front wheel drive I could usually leave most corvettes and mustangs behind for the fist 100 feet or so. They would usually still be spinning there wheels and I would be long gone. I would usually be going 40 so in second and would drop off like I was done before they would blow by me. The reaction was priceless. I had one stoner in a mustang that jumped out at the next light, jumped on my hood and started beating my car with a metal rod. It sounded like he blew something trying to catch up and wasn't to happy with me.

No real horsepower, but that little sucker could jump. One time, though, I got behind a corvette heading into Portland on 205. I got in his draft and hung on. My speedometer hit the top at 85 or 90 and we were way past that. As we came over the end of the columbia river span there was a motorcycle cop with a radar. He was swinging his arms and yelling. The corvette punched it harder and headed for the exit. In my rear view mirror I could see the officer shake his had, turn around and start looking for someone he thought he could catch. The corvette exited so I just puttered on down the road. I never did see the cop of I figure he must of thought he never could have caught us.
